Certified Lead Risk Assessor

From the October 2007 Angie's List Newsletter

"The image most people have of lead exposure is of urban children eating lead paint chips in tenement buildings. The fact is that children in affluent neighborhoods where their families are renovating an older home are at great risk. It only takes lead dust the size of a sugar packet spread over 1/3 of a football field to pose a danger to children. Contractors often provide dangerous information, as do hardware store employees. Traditional home inspectors don't look for it, and home test kits have a high failure rate. The most accurate testing method is an inspection by a professional who can detect even microscopic amounts of lead."

Pacific Northwest Inspections Group offers inspections with Lead Firm Certification from CTED/EPA and has a Certified Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor to perform all of your inspection needs. We regularly perform lead assessment services in residential homes and commercial businesses.

Pacific Northwest Inspection Group can provide lead-based paint inspections, lead-based paint risk assessments and general lead monitoring. Sampling with these strategies can include:

  •  testing surface-by-surface components with an X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer (XRF)
  • wipe sampling
  • paint chip sampling
  •  air sampling
  • soil sampling
  • water sampling

Please contact us if you need lead testing or would like more information on our lead testing services.
