Thermography, or infrared imaging, describes the equipment and techniques that are utilized to determine and measure temperature. An infrared camera is used to detect areas of abnormal temperature. Water from a leaking roof or window seal can cause a large amount of damage. The water damage can then lead to a devastating case of mold growth. Tearing down walls and roof panels has been the only way to find these leaks until now. Infrared thermal imaging is a proven, non-destructive, non-invasive way to detect moisture in the walls and roofs of a building.  Thermal imaging is a non-invasive, non-destructive way of evaluating conditions below the surface. Because everything from faulty wiring to the presence of termites, and from mold to wet insulation affects the surrounding temperature, heat-sensitive photography can reveal these and other issues that just cannot be seen by the naked eye or with conventional or digital photography. By providing thermal imaging reports we can document a hidden fault for corrective action or to prioritize repairs. For an energy audit you can show exactly where cold air is entering the home or heat is being lost along with energy dollars. We can also document the safety of a property by revealing dangerous electrical hot spots or the presence of harmful mold.
