Closed sales of single-family homes and condominiums in the 14 counties covered by Northwest MLS were up 40.2 percent to 5,499 last month compared with the same period a year earlier when 3,923 sales were recorded.

The median price of a home sold in the region was $209,000, up 7.2 percent from a year ago when the median price was $195,000. San Juan County reported the highest median price of $315,000, followed by King County at $255,490, according to Northwest MLS. It is advised when placing your home on the market to first get a pre home inspection.
